QSLand QSPL series PAR measuring instruments
scalarPAR optical quantum sensor, which can be directly connected to the computer
QSL-2100/2101seriesAnd QSPL-2100/2101 series Scalar type optical quantum sensorIt has a spherical optical current collector made of Teflon, which is used to accurately measure photosynthetic effective radiation (PAR, 400-700 nm).Small Scalar current collector and long and thin support rods allow QSL and QSPL sensors to accurately measure light intensity from all directions.
QSLseriesIt is a splash-proof design and can be measured in air or water (short-term).QSPL SeriesIt is a fully waterproof design and can work underwater for a long time. They are all perfect for indoor or outdoor use.The QSPL series comes with a marine-grade waterproof connector that can operate 600 m underwater.
The diameters of the Scalar current collectors of QSL-2100 and QSPL-2100 are1.9 Smart; The diameters of the Scalar current collectors of QSL-2101 and QSPL-2101 are1.3 Smart.

Both the QSL and QSPL series are ideal for measuring light intensity in photosynthetic bacteria, phytoplankton, large algae and advanced plant culture bottles/rooms.Among them, the 2101 series can be extended into many small culture bottles to measure the light intensity due to the small diameter of the sensor.Compared with Cosine-type optical quantum sensors that can measure optical radiation in all directions, Scalar-type optical quantum sensors that can measure optical radiation in all directions are more suitable for the above research.
QSL and QSPL work with the LOGGER-2100 software based on Windows operating system, which can display PAR values in real time and record the changes in PAR over time. These sensors consume very low power, just powering through the computer serial port.
QSL series sensors can be measured underwater for short periods
The QSPL series sensors are equipped with a nautical-grade waterproof interface that can withstand pressures at a depth of 600 m, so their working water depth in the ocean is up to 600 m.
Calibration was performed using the National Institute of Standards (NIST) traceable certification method, and each sensor has an embedded calibration factor.
The LOGGER-2100 software shows that the unit of light intensity can be a light quantum number or a micro-Einstein.
